Being presented a trophy by the Shah of Iran for winning the Open Jumping Competition is one of the many awards that sets Joan apart. She lived in Iran with her parents for 6 years, traveling extensively throughout the world and even participating in training U.S. Olympic horses in Ireland during the summers. She became Pres. of her College Freshman class, and then Pres. Of the Student Body and Judicial Council. It is no wonder that she met and married the love of her life who was attending a military college with an honor code that stood for integrity, & high ethics. After teaching High School in Virginia and coaching Gymnastics for a few years, she moved into a career that allowed her to be home-based in order to be home with her son. Her career in Interior Decorating sales and marketing, earned world-wide travel trips annually for herself and her family, through the performance of her team.
